Dong Hoi – Phong Nha Paradise cave – Full DMZ – Hamburger Hill – Hue (3D2N)

Pick up from Dong Hoi (hotel, airport, railway station) to go to Phong Nha village. Take a boat cruise to visit Phong Nha cave - the unique underground river cave in Phong Nha - Ke Bang national park with more than 300 caves. Have lunch at Phong Nha. Have a 30 mins ride to Paradise cave to visit this 31-km beautiful cave with spectacular stalactites and stalagmites. Back to Dong Hoi city overnight.

Pickup from your hotel driving southward along Highway 1 to visit Vinh Moc tunnel - a refuge for the local villagers during the US bombing. Secondly, DMZ bridge (Hien Luong bridge, Freedom bridge, Peace bridge) crossing Ben Hai river at 17th parallel. Lunch in Dong Ha city. After lunch, heading West along highway 9 to visit Route 9 National Cemetery where NVA and VC soldiers buried, Camp Carroll - US and ARVN artillery base, the Rockpile - US observation post, Dakrong Bridge - a starting point of Ho Chi Minh trail (east branch inside Vietnam built after Paris peace accord), Khe Sanh combat base - a major Marine base during Vietnam war, one of the major battles of Tet Offensive 1968; Lang Vei Special Forces Camp. Overnight at Sepon Hotel in Lao Bao town next to Laos border.

Breakfast (not included, you might have Pho Vietnamese noodle soup close to hotel) Driving back along Highway 9, turn right to Highway 14 or Ho Chi Minh highway to A Shau valley. Photo stop with Huey chopper while waiting for me fetching permission paper. Then driving to Hamburger Hill, starts trekking to hill top. Make sure you're fit to trek to this 937m peak. On the way visit NVA tunnel, museum if possible. Back to A Luoi town for lunch. After lunch, heading South to A Shau Special Forces camp which were overrun in 1966. A Shau is considered the most effected area of Agent Orange. Lots of bomb craters seen here. Back to car driving along Highway 49 to Hue. Tour ends.
