Going down again, the passage will lead you to another exit under a nearby haystack. Jumping onto ground, you will have a walk in the Thach Tan village to a nearby entrance/exit under an irrigation ditch. Continue walking, the village path will lead you to a 500-year-old Roi tree (Roi in Vietnamese means strong, good stamina which explaines why has standed there for a very long time). The Roi tree standing there functions as a living witness of the bloody wars that has taken place at Ky Anh tunnel area. It's really interesting how this Roi tree survived the war because it worked as a forward observer for the US/ARVN artilleries and mortars. On the other hand, the VC/NVA used this Roi tree as a good observation post to alert them of enemy movements approaching the village.
