This tour is designed for those who don't have much time in Vietnam, those who want a one-day round trip of Hoi An ancient town from Hue city, those who have already booked their accommodation in Hue city and don't want to squander 1-night hotel accommodation already booked in Hue. You'll have your driver and tour guide separately, not driver cum tour guide, because our first priority of any tour is safety transport. Driver will only focus on driving and tour guide will concentrate in answering your questions coming up during the transport.

7:30 am you'll be picked up from your hotel in Hue (Indochine Palace, Azerai La Residence, Imperial Hotel, ...) heading South towards Hoi An (we can also pick you up at Phu Bai airport going to Hoi An then back to Hue). On the way, you will have an opportunity to admire the longest, biggest lagoon system in Southeast Asia named Tam Giang - Cau Hai lagoon system. There will be a lot of photo opportunities if you are a true photographer. We will have photo stops at Lap An lagoon - a beautiful lagoon with floating restaurants, small sampans, oyster farms, evergreen mountains of Bach Ma national park (reserve this for the return leg from Hoi An back to Hue as it will be more beautiful at sunset). Next stop will be Lang Co beach seen where you can see 3S (Sun, Sand, Sea) and 3T (Train, Trees, Tunnel). Keep going along windy road to the top of Hai Van pass (Sea and Cloud pass) where you can have a panoramic view both ways to Lang Co town to the North and Da Nang city to the South. Hai Van pass was the subject for one of the episode of the famous Top Gear video. Right here at Hai Van pass, there are still several bunkers and observation posts from the French era and American time. Continue along the coastal road of Da Nang city to enjoy the spectacular sceneries and gorgeous landscapes of the fastest growing city of Vietnam which is famous for many iconic bridges like Dragon bridge, Han bridge, Tran Thi Ly bridge, Thuan Phuoc bridge. We might have a brief stop at Tho Quang fishing boat harbor. You'll be more impressed as we continue along the Vo Nguyen Giap street of Da Nang with lots of hotels, condotels, apartment buildings, resorts spring up from the both sides of the road. Da Nang is considered as the most liveable city of Vietnam who has the cleanest environment out of all Vietnam cities and towns. Da Nang is also a transport hub, a gateway to Central Vietnam with many flights are coming every years. You'll also pass by Marble mountain but we might not have enough time to have a visit.

Once arriving at Hoi An ancient town, our first visit will the iconic Japanese Covered bridge which is the symbol of Hoi An old town that get printed on the 20.000 Dong note of Vietnam bank note. This bridge was built around 400 years ago by the Japanese, restored several times but still keep the original architecture. Next visit will be Tan Ky old house - a typical old house of a typical wealthy businessman in Hoi An. The architecture of this old house resembles some characters from that of the Chinese and Japanese showing the cross-culture during the 17th-18th centuries between Vietnam, China and Japan. Surrounding Tan Ky are several buildings with French architecture styles. One more typical tourist attraction of Hoi An is Fujian Assembly Hall built by the Chinese families from Fujian province of China more than 300 years ago (1690) used for the purpose of socializing and worshipping Goddess of the Sea to protect them from shipwreck as many of the Chineses coming to Vietnam at that time were by ships and boats. After 3 hours drive from Hue and 1 hour walk and visit of the old quarter of Hoi An, you'll be enticed by Hoi An specialties of Cao Lau noodle and White Rose dumpling. Taste the real authentic of local specialties in an old restaurant watching people passing by is a unique experience you should not miss when in Hoi An. After lunch, you'll have amble time for walking around and shopping what you love i.e. lanterns, clothes, small keepsakes, ... Have a stroll along Thu Bon river or riding a boat or sitting on a riverside restaurant chairs are several good options you can take into consideration. Last but not least, if you miss the traditional folk music and dance show then it would be a big regret. Instruments of bamboo flute, one-string đàn bầu, 2-string đàn nhị, 16-string đàn tranh, drum, ... will be used for background music of the show. Back to the car for the transfer back to Hue via Hai Van tunnel. The last break for the day is at Lap An lagoon where you can see the amazing sunset with reddish yellow sunlight at the end of the day. Drive straight back to your hotel in Hue. Tour ends.
