Day 1: Ninh Binh to Dong Hoi
On this day, you'll travel from Ninh Binh (Trang An, Tam Coc or Ninh Binh city) southwards to Dong Hoi city of Quang Binh province. You'll pass by Thanh Hoa city - home to Le Dynasty and the famous founder Le Loi. Thanh Hoa is also well known for Ho Dynasty's UNESCO site Ho Citadel. Keep going towards the South, we'll have lunch in Vinh city, Nghe An province - home to the country's father Uncle Ho or Ho Chi Minh. Continue onto Ha Tinh for a coffee break before heading to Dong Hoi city. You can choose to stay in Phong Nha for the night and 1 day relaxing at Phong Nha Ke Bang national park before continuing the trip to Hoi An. Overnight in Dong Hoi city. Recommended hotel: Nam Long Plus, Muong Thanh Nhat Le, Saigon Quang Binh.

Day 2: Dong Hoi to Hoi An
Today you'll travel from Dong Hoi city of Quang Binh province into the DMZ area of our expertise. We can have a photo stop or a brief visit at Hien Luong bridge crossing Ben Hai river at 17th parallel border between North Vietnam and South Vietnam. Drive along highway 1A of Quang Tri province which is named after late party chief Le Duan - a son of Quang Tri motherland. Keep heading towards the South into Thua Thien Hue province where we'll have lunch break with local specialty of Nem Lui, Banh Khoai. After lunch, we'll continue towards Da Nang city via Hai Vai pass where you can see the amazing coastal road and the most beautiful pass of Vietnam. From here you'll see both towards Da Nang city to the South or Lang Co beach to the North. Have a coconut drink at the top of Hai Van pass before going to Hoi An old town of Quang Nam province. We'll drive past booming city of Da Nang or the city of bridges which has many iconic bridges and luxury hotels and resorts along the coastal roads to Hoi An. Overnigh in Hoi An city.
